For all those who have an interest in embroidery. Dawn will tell us of a family history story and show us how she has interrupted this story in embroidery. She will also show us other related embroidered wall hangings and bedspreads. This talk is an introduction to an embroidery group meeting once a month on Tuesdays

Connection through Embroidery Group

This group’s suggested program is to spend some time discussing subjects such as the types of embroidery, the history of these embroideries, the relationship to lifestyle of the time, the relationship to the culture of the time or country. We will also include the technique used , the fabrics and threads traditionally used and the fabrics and threads used today. We will then spend time working on our own project or trying a new technique we have discussed. Bring your own morning tea/lunch as this program will start at 9.00 and finish at 1.30.
