A beginners Italian class concentrating on conversational Italian.
Class will be limited to first 15 enrolees. No text book is needed but please bring pen & paper.Tuesdays, 4.30pm-5.30pm. Classes will commence on Tuesday, 7th March, 2017 at 4pm.

Write YOUR Family Stories

• with an introductory first session on how to set up, manage, and save your pages in your word document (or filing hand-written stories)
• topics provided to help the memory along
• emphasis on writing your version however different it may be
• writing two pages (one sided) each week for group sharing and critique
• you do not require a university degree to write a good story
This class will be limited to the first 12 enrolees due to space at the library. Please enrol with Jane and if there is no space, she will keep you on a waitlist and advise when space is available.1st Semester: Commencing Tuesday, 21st February at 10am-12noon and finishing on Tuesday 4th April. The April meeting will be at the Uniting Church in Atherton.
2nd semester: July 18th, 25th ; August 1, 8, 15, 22, 29th ; September 5, 12th.

Writer's Workshop

This is a workshop for budding AND more practiced writers. The idea is that members submit their writing to the group for comment and encouragement. It is a self-help group, where members take it in turn to convene one or more monthly sessions throughout the year. Convenors will chair the workshop session for that month, and suggest types of writing activity (optional) that members may wish to submit for the next month.

Monday Book Club

This group will be limited to 10 people because of the number of books supplied by the Library and will meet monthly for discussions. Participants take turns in choosing a book from the list and collect their copy from Atherton Library. Everyone must be a member of the Atherton Library.
