Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement

|Discovery. Recovery. Renewal. Feldenkrais is gentle, slow explorative movements that make the brain more intelligent in sensing your habits in movement and thinking; regardless of your condition’s complexity, physical/emotional severity or duration. Many of the physical limitations that are wrongly attributed to age are a result of lack of use, habits, and self-protective muscle patterns. Habits can change at any age through a gradual process of retraining basic movements. Balance, flexibility, posture, gait and fluidity of movement can all be improved, so too your capacity to concentrate and communicate. Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lessons are specifically designed to help people keep mentally and physically flexible at any age. The method is also very well suited to assisting elite athletes and musicians improve performance.

Bring a comfy mat or thin camp mattress & towel. Wear soft comfy shirt & pants. (Avoid buttons, zips, belts). Please remove jewellery for the lesson.

The Digital Wellness Program will support you to use technology to maintain and improve your quality of life and wellbeing.
These classes are fully funded for those who are registered with My Aged Care. If you are not registered with My Aged Care, Elizabeth can arrange for an application and assessment for you. An iPad or Tablet can be provided for use during the course for those who don't own one that they can bring along.

Nutrition for Better Health
Presented by Emma Fehring & Jesse from Fig Tree Health
|Emma is the Community Health and Wellbeing Officer with TRC and Jessee is a Nutrionist from Fig Tree Health.|
|Come along and learn about healthy eating habits as we are ageing.|
Also about reading food labels and how to avoid unhealthy marketing ‘spin’ on products. Recipe cards will be supplied along with other resourced. Any questions you have will be answered.
